Rose Lee Hoffman of St. Louis died July 5, 2009 after a courageous battle with heart disease and Alzheimer’s. Rose Lee passed away painfully far from the family and friends she held so dear throughout her life. She was 89.

Rose Lee was born Jan. 19, 1920 and was raised in St. Louis, having lived in the German St. Vincent Orphanage run by the Western Provence of the Sisters of Christian Charity as a child. She was a seamstress by trade, and wife and mother by heart.

    He was born in Clearwater on Dec. 22, 1938, the son of the late Beuford Amzie and Iva Irene (Miller) Sparkman. He was married on Sept. 19, 1959 to Barbara Ann (Boland) Sparkman of Perryville, who survives.

    Lucy Overbey Sadler of Godfrey died Monday, July 26, 2010 at her home. She was 93.

    She was born Dec. 20, 1916 in Stoddard County, the daughter of the late Harry and Vallie (Revelle) Johns. She was married on June 16, 1934 in Bloomfield to Carl Overbey, who preceded her in death April 5, 1994 after almost 60 years of marriage. She later married Herbert Sadler, who preceded her in death.
