The HERD to host Poker Run, supports military

A group dedicated to supporting America’s military is hosting a Poker Run on Patriot Day.

The HERD will host a Poker Run on Saturday, Sept. 11. Registration begins at 10 am and the run starts at noon.

All bikes are welcome, and the ride will start and end at American Legion Post 133 in Perryville. The last bike will be in by 5 pm. Donations of $10 for first hand and $5 for second hand are requested. Food and drink will be available before and after the ride.

Prizes will be awarded for the top 5 hands and there will attendance prizes and a 50/50 donation drawing.

    After the storm

    Some parts of Perry County saw over 3 inches of rain Thursday afternoon, Aug. 12. After the first system passed through Perryville, leaving downed trees and powerlines, a rainbow appeared along Perryville Boulevard at Interstate 55.
